I love working cars, I knew the installation would be difficult but I was up for the challenge. It was cold (60 degrees Fahrenheit) the day I installed it, which may have contributed to my difficulty getting the leather to stretch across the wheel. I tried using my heat gun to loosen it and then I found out the thread was melting, oh it's time to start this section. In the end, I just work the leather like crazy with my hands, loosely sew, and then pull the tiers tighter and tighter with the curved nail I used as a tool. I was able to do the work in C+, which seems like a failure for a perfectionist like me. I'm sure if I could practice a few more times I would understand. This was my first attempt and practicing would have been costly. I wish they made it a little bigger to reduce the hassle of installing. One of the other reviewers ran out of an issue, they may have fixed it because I was more than fed up with an issue. The back-to-back strapping seemed like a bad idea considering how much leather I had to process, which I used quite a bit on the bottom needle. Still, it's a big improvement over the plastic garbage wheel we had on our 2008 Subaru Impreza, even with the C+ setup. Love the combination of leather, it feels nice, love that it covers some of the spokes which looks classier/factory and even smells great. This is a much better fit than the versatile stitch options, and let's not talk about slipping on lazy covers. If you're willing to try it, give yourself a few hours, good luck and happy driving.
