Finding the perfect (even appropriate) Clarke for your bedside alarm clock is harder than you think. It seems vendors' focus on features has eclipsed any concerns about basic functionality. But we also love cool stuff! Despite the mixed reviews for this product, we bought it because it looks good, has lots of nice features, and is easy to set up. We hoped the negative comments about the viewing angle were overly critical and conceded that they were hilarious. Unfortunately (actually, almost sadly, given how much time we've now devoted to this quest) the Eugene man turned out to be correct. You can't tell the time when you're lying in bed. I don't sleep standing up and I don't want to put the clock on the floor so it goes backwards. My wife threatened to go to her parents' attic and find one with pieces of plastic falling. I am considering this option.
