This cat tree is a good size but not too tall. The base is nice and wide and solid. The cat house on the second level is a good size for a large cat to rest in. The design is also very accessible for cats to easily reach the upper levels. So far the black butt care pad has been a huge hit with my kitty. The tree had to be fully assembled. But assembly was easy and took me about half an hour. All the parts were in place, and the necessary tools were attached to it. My cat is very happy with this scratching post!
