Needed a solid surface to work on sitting on the couch and on the bed. I'm so glad I found this as it's a GREAT sturdy laptop desk and the drawer on the side is great for storage. It has a detachable piece of wood that prevents objects from falling when it is at an angle. I love that I can adjust the angle or use it as a flat surface to write on paper. My only complaint is that there is a dedicated slot for an iPad. But it's not deep enough that the iPad could fall over. It works for my iPad mini, but it's annoying that the table doesn't fit the iPad Pro, which is what I intended to use it for. Also, I like it very much. I am very happy with it.
