I have purchased two sets of these bar stools in black. The first set has been on our deck since last summer. They are semi covered by a bar, but are definitely exposed to the elements. They have been through the summer heat, tons of rain, and feet of snow. I did not want to deal with carrying stools indoors for inclement weather and have been perfect. They have not rusted or warped, but the black has faded a bit…one seems to be more a matte black than a shiny black. I also haven’t tried to clean or buff them up to see if the shine returns because I think they look great as is. (The loss of lustre might be do to sap or pollen and not a failure of the metal finish.)My family uses the deck more and also eats/works outside more now that we have set up this seating area. These have definitely been a great purchase. I felt they held up so well, though, that i just ordered another set!
