Review on 🎧 Enhance Communication with Koss SB49 Communication Stereophone: A Review by Brandon Boones

This is the first headset I've bought in a long time (3-4 years) so I wasn't sure how it would feel after such a hiatus. KOSS SB49 showed me how much I missed it. Appearance/Construction: Very nicely made, plastic body/headband and volume controls, looks solid enough. Only time can tell. The volume control is very well placed, has a good range and is very easy to adjust on the fly. comfort/sound. To test comfort and sound quality, I used two sound sources: music and games. immediately noticed a strong bass presence. This is a great headset for ANY music. I've tried orchestra, rock, jazz, lounge and dance. The bass is very strong, I could hear nice highs and mids, flute and clarinet without any effort. They're easy to wear for hours without noticing they're wearing! GAMES: I tried the headset with three games: Red Orchestra, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2. I was just blown away by the sound quality. Especially with Red Orchestra I noticed the clear crackling of the shots. Positional audio is fine, but there aren't really any dramatic positional effects. The roar of tanks and explosions became very clear and pleasant thanks to the powerful bass. Voice quality (both from characters and voice chat) is also very good. COMFORT: I usually play games for more than 2 hours at a time, so it's important to carry phones that offer great sound quality without hurting your ears. This headset does its job well. It's a bit hard on the ears and makes them a bit sweaty and I usually have to take a short break every hour to rub my ears, but that's not a bad thing at all considering the great sound quality. The leather ear pads around the ears ensure a very comfortable listening experience and even have a slight noise-cancelling effect. MIC: I used to rarely use it, but now I use it all the time in my games. ! I recorded some phrases in Audacity to check their quality/volume and the result is great! Very good quality, no noise. The ONLY thing I would have liked more was if the wire was more flexible so I could adjust it to my liking. But that's just a minor complaint. In conclusion, this is a great headset at a great price, quality sound + comfort that will last you quite a long time!
