Perfect! - Internals

I took a Dell Inspiron 620 to turn it into an inexpensive gaming machine with a few upgrades, one of which was the memory. If you buy one of the systems, most come with 4GB (enough, but Win7 64-bit is better with 8) or 6GB, which is actually slower than 4GB as it's not dual channel. To get to 8 GB, you need significantly more than this excellent RAM costs. Do yourself a favor and just grab the 4GB model and order it. It installs easily and works very stably for several days and now runs at night via memtest. The current BIOS version does not allow running above 1333MHz but the timings are much better than the current ones and hopefully future versions will change that. IMHO it's better to get a faster memory and lower its clock speed than try to do the opposite. I am very happy with the purchase and all the Corsair storage I have purchased over the past few months. When the next system is updated I will set this Vengeance memory to whatever new MB I choose. maybe next time red or blue depending on the board!
