I am very impressed with this brush. I heard on You Tube video that a boars head brush was better for long thick curly hair than the detangling brushes and denman brushes so I bought one and I was disappointed that it didn't go through the first outer layer of hair.It was useless for me. Then I saw this one, I was reluctant because I didn't want to keep spending money on brushes if they weren't worth it but after some time went by, I finally purchased this. I am so glad I did. The longer nylon bristles help to grab the hair and detangle while the boars head bristles smooth the hair through the whole length of the hair. The best part is that when I was done brushing my hair after wetting it down, there were hardly any hair in the sink compared to what it is usually like. This has been a problem for me for a long time, when I am done brushing I always have to clean up a zillion hairs in the sink and the brush but with this brush, there aren't anywhere near as many hairs that either broke off or shed. I'm shook. I hope that now my hair will be looking better because I will be losing less of it. Either way, the brushing process is much easier and the little raking tool to clean the brush with is wonderful. I wish I got this brush a long time ago
