I use it after on-board air to inflate tires to a selected pressure without having to hold the inflation trigger in all the time or risking over-inflating if I connect a hose directly between the compressor and the tire. I installed a coupler with a socket, to install it I plug in an inflator (with a pressure gauge) and dial in the correct pressure, then remove the inflator and replace it with a tee, two hoses and two retainers .-5265 cartridges for two tires. This allows me to inflate two tires at the same time relatively unattended, ensuring they all have the same final pressure after riding off-road (15->50psi) and also makes it easy to further pressurize the two rear tires if needed. for heavy towing (50->80 psi). I've only used it a couple of times so far, but so far it's holding up well, even when put in a bag with other parts with air, and hasn't been taken care of too much. Since I'm using a basic onboard air system, I don't have an air filter and dryer before this regulator, so I don't know how long it will be before the lack of filtration causes problems, but no problems far.
