The magnet is very strong, it cannot fall off the car while driving. You almost have to rip it off the fridge to get it off. I filled the sink with water and held it under water for 1 minute and not enough water came out to say. I bought another brand, a little smaller, and the chrome of the magnet corroded badly because I installed it on the front of the rear fender. I think it collected a lot of road salt and water. I'll put him in the back, which should help a lot.
