It's comfortable and compact and my laptop hasn't overheated in the time I've been using it. However, I have two complaints: 1. The hem is very short and my laptop is aerodynamic, for lack of a better word, and has a slight curve on the bottom so it doesn't feel as secure as I'd like (not, that it has nowhere to go.) 2. The surface is VERY slippery and my mouse won't stay on it - it slides straight into the chair am surprised there aren't any more mini travel mouse pads or mouse pads) Overall a great product.
