I've never built my own PC. I was skeptical after reading about the issues people were having with BIOS updates, compatibility, etc. When I first pressed the power button, everything worked as advertised. I booted up the USB stick to install the OS and literally 15 minutes after turning it on, Windows was up and running and it was on the desktop. It's a lot more than that, but a MOBO that works flawlessly right out of the box is a good thing. In addition, this motherboard can update its BIOS directly from the Internet from the home screen. This greatly reduces the chances that you can screw it up with the wrong version or whatever. I will definitely use ASUS again when I build a new PC in a few years.
