Yes, DDR3 memory is a commodity. But in January 2012, being able to get 16GB kits for $75 each was a breakthrough price. So I ordered four sets, all installed in the same phone, and the software world looks very different from the perspective of the first and only 64GB machine I've used. This is what the future looks like. The 8 DIMMs I received have no errors or defects. They were all made in the same week and are perfectly timed as far as my motherboard can tell. When installing eight DIMMs together, it often happens that you have to use sub-par speeds or increased timings due to minor inconsistencies. It's not usually noticeable in two- or four-way setups, but I don't see it here. They are fully compliant and work great together. I'm not an overclocker with claims beyond the factory specs for hardware, but I'm completely satisfied.
