Can't possibly have a 12x magnification, I immediately compared it to my Nikon binoculars which have 10x50 but still less than 10 zooms. Also, this lens isn't 55mm, it's actually a bit smaller than my 50mm Nikon. Another bad thing is that the picture is a lot darker than the standard 50mm - probably poor glass quality. I was either sold the wrong product - something like 10x50 or it was false advertising. The build quality isn't very good and it feels really cheap in the hand. The packaging itself looks like something straight out of a dollar store - it's a shoddy sale. return initiated.
