A long metal rod coat hanger installed by a clumsy, cheap handyman collapsed after 5 years of heavy loading with dresses and suits. I chose this side stand and it worked great. Everything looked fine after the first one, so I bought a second unit to install side by side. I was able to find a bolt on one side, so I screwed in the maple top I got from Revain, but not the other side. I don't have a bolt so I used 3 drywall anchors for the wood panel. The white tree above was installed 5 years ago so I wanted to use some of that prop. I may have overdone it with the attachment, but since the old pole had collapsed I didn't want it to happen again. I think it would be possible to mount the rack directly without the wood top like I did. Overall I'm glad I did it myself instead of paying hundreds of dollars to another handyman.
