Does it work as it should? Yes. Is there a chance you'll go downstairs and find your basement flooded because the seal broke? Also yes. Update: Replaced the gasket on this filter hoping it would fix the problem. It didn't leak at first, but after a few hours literally the entire filter housing (? I'm not sure if that's the right word) was ripped off, the threads were completely snapped. This is complete nonsense and the return period has of course expired.
