Adds so much for so little!

EDIT: Updated review. I bought an EZ lip in January 2020 and it finally broke last weekend (August 2021). My car is lowered and I try to drive carefully on potholes/bumps. There are some roads that just don't have much to do on them. I scraped the edge on these roads and the edge held up well for the most part. It had a few scratches but nothing showed so I wasn't worried. However, this weekend I was out and scratched him (I don't think it was very hard) and he cracked his lip. Moral of the story, it's a good lip. it's cheap and looks good. I don't have as much money as if I had bought a "real" lip for this car. But after that I'm not sure if I'll replace it or not. I wanted a lip for the front of my Fiesta ST but didn't want to spend money on it, 1. just for the looks, and 2. we'll probably run into some speed bumps at some point. The EZ Lip was SUPER easy to install. I left the tape out in the sun on a hot day to keep it warm. I cleaned the underside of my bumper and honestly didn't even do a very good job (no alcohol or other glue). I straightened it out before peeling the tape off to see how I would deal with the different bumper curves and when I was happy I started with the passenger wheel and then, about one foot at a time, taped the lip to the underside of the bumper. I squeezed it in parts really lightly just in case I needed to take it off and move it around. When everything was ready I cut off the end and pressed my lip firmly against the bumper. All said and done, the install took 4 minutes minus the time to clean up. The lip itself is soft. It's made of something that almost feels like foam. I think I was expecting it to be more rubbery than it looks, but it seems quite durable. It's easy to tear if you try to rip it off, but I don't expect any problems with the machine. As for the glue, I pulled it out after it had set for a few hours. HARD. The bumper moves but the lip is intact. Also, since the lip is made of a soft material, I would expect it to resist scratches from speed bumps fairly easily. Considering the price I highly recommend this lip if you are looking for a bit of style. Really improves the look of the frontend for a pretty low price.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
