Everything seems perfect about this torque wrench. I just sealed the timing cover on my 2001 Ford Esc 3.0L and used it to tighten the timing chain cover (front), valve covers and upper and lower intake manifolds. The settings are easy to read thanks to the black background and yellow markers. . The voice lock mechanism is a bit wonky, but it works. I had trouble with a couple of outlets that unblocked easily. Maybe these nests were too tight because all my old nests opened easily. To test performance, I tightened the screw as my Proto 6016-3 dropped from its 20 foot minimum to 3 pounds and Lexivon to 3 pounds. 200 inches per pound and they seemed close enough. I'm sure there must be better tension weight tests, but I was happy to be at the ballpark. If I were building an engine for a racing car, I would be more concerned. It's definitely better than just tightening the bolts without knowing how tight they are, let alone the same torque as the same cap mounted bolt. For those who are impatient and have never used a torque wrench, there is a bit of a learning curve. Sometimes a click is barely audible. Factors such as using an extension cord, how you hold the wrench, and other such factors affect the loudness of the click. This also applies to my $150 Proto 1/2. Sometimes a click or release is just a hit. You should feel when it happens and go in gently. more time without further delay. The Lexivon is much smaller than a 1/2 inch instrument, so expect it to not be as loud. With the Lexivon, I found that the clicking was perfectly normal most of the time, and when it didn't work sometimes, I paid more attention to the feeling that I don't know how to use it professionally, but I expect it to be good for years functions. Just remember to keep it on the lowest torque setting and keep it in the pouch provided and it will last for years.
