I bought this hoping to charge my Dewalt 18v battery with a Dewalt car plug charger while not in the car. With my doubts I connected everything and it worked great. Fully discharged battery charged in less than an hour. I've only used it a few times to charge my battery but it did the job and totally exceeded my expectations! My commute and errands are very short (5 minutes) so there wasn't enough time to charge the battery and I didn't start the car just to charge the battery. I'm not a physicist so wasn't sure if this would work, although I took other comments and FAQs and did the calculations. It happened!
