I bought this for my 11 year old grandson for his birthday to encourage more interest in the outdoors and to take his mind off the TV and games consoles. We were thrilled to see how good this microscope is and how versatile it is to use. My grandson was fascinated and we ended up spending over 4 years looking at or collecting everything from sea water to insects, minerals, flowers and coins. He enjoyed photographing his discoveries and sending them to his friends and parents. Pop-Pop succeeded! I would recommend this high quality microscope to any parent or relative interested in stimulating their children's curiosity.
