I was looking for a sturdy stand to place next to my desk. I used a regular phone stand for a while, but I kept tipping it over or the cables would drag the phone to the ground. Decided to stay on the sucker. I know it's for cars but it works great on my desk. The suction power is very strong and cannot be torn off. There is a hole on the underside for laying the charging cable. It works great for what I need. I could get more and install them in the bathrooms and kitchen to keep them running while I do other things.
