Review on Saucony Originals Womens Bullet W Slate by Walter Martin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

True to size but not the best choice for freerunning.

SIZE: Fits true to size. COMPARISON WITH MEN'S MODEL: Compared to similar men's sizes (women's 8.5 = men's 7), the heels of men's shoes appear slightly higher. Men's shoes are also noticeably heavier. At the same time, the soles and insoles of women's and men's models are identical. RECOMMENDED USE: I would recommend this shoe as a regular training, crossfit or street shoe but not for tricks, martial arts or freerunning. I bought these shoes to use for freerunning and tricks and found the ankle was too low for my liking. My foot could easily slip off my back if they were comfortably strapped to the arch of the foot. I didn't try to tie them tight. The hems on these shoes also don't make them a good choice for freerunning. They may be minimalistic compared to most athletic shoes, but the hem is angled so if you land on the side of the shoe you twist your ankle.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Durable
