On the other hand, it works and doesn't require a separate USB cable. This is a good feature. I also like the fact that it uses a standard AAA battery, so I don't have to constantly look for a place to charge when I'm not at home - just pop in another battery and carry on. Negative side: 1. The display is unevenly illuminated. The left side is difficult to read as it is much darker than the right side.2. The fast forward/rewind/select switch has a habit of sticking unless you press it straight down to use the select function. I got stuck a few times.3. Fast forward and rewind is slow and there is no sound during fast forward and rewind.4. Although it has different "repeat" modes, it doesn't allow only one file to autoplay and stop unless that file is in a separate folder. Bottom line, it's functional but impractical. I'd say it's worth the price, especially if you're using it as a 4GB memory card. But I can't recommend it as a simple MP3 player.
