Review on HOBOT-298: Smart Window Cleaning Robot with Ultrasonic Water Spray, Smartphone Control, and Remote Operation by Amit Kumar ᠌

The quality is worse than I have ever seen, a complete disappointment

Complete disappointment. Passed on the day of purchase due to design defects. If you have an inner window bar that goes at an angle and is rather thin (less than a centimeter) - this robot is not for you! When it does not slip (and it almost always slips, regardless of the dampness of the rag), it runs into the bar like a springboard, breaks away from the glass and falls. On heavily soiled windows, the robot does not work in principle, even during dry cleaning, it does not go, it skids. The sprayer is absolutely useless, after every three sprays, a droplet is formed on it, which, after the next spray, drips onto the floor. From the outside, almost all the detergent is blown away, even with minimal wind. At the first use, I experienced shock and stress, after the first fall from the window, I stood and held the safety cord. I thought it was an accidental fall, but when I caught it a second time, I realized that the model was dangerous, and on the outside of the window its use was excluded for me even with insurance (17th floor). Because of the slippage of the front bumper - the button is not pressed, and the robot slides helplessly at the edge of the window. The store accepted it with understanding - this is not the first time they have been handed over.

Pros
  • Doesn't make much noise. Robust housing (not broken after falling into the room on the floor).
Cons
  • During the first use, the Velcro on the case came off, almost all of them, when the rag was first removed. The ultrasonic sprinkler, on the new device, tech, sprayed every other time. The suction power is small, and therefore the tracks skid. Fell off the window twice in one wash. The application does not connect the robot to a smartphone.
