I'm starting to have problems with osteoarthritis in my hands so removing the lids from jars can be a real problem. I've tried several different openers - various marvels of engineering designed to snap onto the lid and remove it easily - but they often don't work as advertised OR their installation causes more problems. These "can grabs" are a quick and easy, low-tech solution. I usually use two of these - a red "cone" for the lid and a blue square to grip the jar - and in almost all cases I can remove the lid without the pain and frustration I usually experience. I usually use them for things like jam jars, pickles, olives, salsa, etc. No problems so far, no signs of wear, still working well after about 8 weeks of use, maybe 3-4 times. during the week. I paid less than five dollars for a set and for me they are worth it.
