I have twins born in October so I am always on the hunt for opal jewelry for them.These earrings arrived with each earring individually bagged in a plastic bag. They were put in a navy blue lidded box lined with black velvet. I would say it is giftable packaging.The earrings themselves are a nice weight. Heavy enough to give nice movement when worn but not at all so heavy that they hurt your ears. They are sized to be nice for ages tween to adult. The silver finish is bright and shiny, and the opals (although created I'm sure) are eye catchingly red. The colors change based on the lighting but she says it just reminds her of the fall leaves.
