I installed a cartridge in my HP printer and got a 'Defective Cartridge' error message. When I took out the cartridge, I found that the circuit board had fallen off the cartridge. I managed to get it out of the bandolier. At this point I replaced it with another third party cartridge. I have used various third party cartridges before with no problems. I'm not obsessed with cartridges that I don't want to use in my printer. This might have been a one off event but I don't know what
