I've been installing this system for about a week and it's working pretty well. Over the past 10 years I have purchased and used about 10 different reverse osmosis tank systems. I have iSpring and Apec systems installed. I bought this unit to replace my Apec 5 acceleration system. Nothing happened to Apec. However, I wanted to save space with the tankless filter and try the remineralizing filter that is also included in the box. Installation: The device was easy to install. But keep in mind that I have installed reverse osmosis systems on several occasions. And in my case I replaced the system. So some work, such as a hole for a sewage pipe, has already been completed. And I knew how to handle all the contraptions and things. Pretty much everything is easy when you have standard plumbing under your sink. The kit contains almost everything you need. You will need to drill a hole to install the saddle for the waste line. But it's just a hole and it's easy if you're drilling through a plastic sewer pipe. Also, I already had a faucet installed from my previous reverse osmosis system. However, if it's a new installation, you'll need to use an existing hole or drill a new hole in the sink or countertop. This can be the hardest part if you're not handy. You have an installation video. Absolutely normal. I liked it. You can also use the paper guide for quick installation. But if this is your first, check out the video too. Finally I thought that a complete game with good details is comparable to other systems. They were generous with kits and extra parts. They even included a razor to cut through the supplied plumbing if needed. Filtration: I did not send my water to a lab for testing. Will when I leave this block. However, my TDS entry is around 400. The unit's display says TDS issue 05-06. And at the tap after the remineralization filter, TAM3 prepares 40-100 (yes, it's strange that the readings vary so much). Remember that TDS does not determine water quality. It only shows you the total number of dissolved solids. So you can be good or bad in the water. But at least you know it's filtering something. Going from 400 to 6 is excellent. My previous RO went from 400 to 22. Water Flow: The unit claims 600 gallons per day. I've measured around 0.40-45 gpm on the faucet and half that on my fridge faucet (see fridge section below). This water flow sure is a bit slow. But for a glass of water everything is fine. When you need to fill the pot, you have to turn it on and move away a bit to make it leak. The 600 GPD rating is really good and means that the amount per day this device can filter is significant. My last unit was 90GPD. However, because it had a reservoir, water dispensed faster than this device. Of course, if you sit there and empty the tank, you have to wait for more water to be produced. With this device, although the stream is slow, it keeps going and you won't run out unless you let it run continuously for more than 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the device switches to armed mode. Which is good if you accidentally left the water on. In addition, your filters are also saved. Taste: This is of course subjective. I found the taste ok. Not sure what will change over time. My previous reverse osmosis system tasted better in my opinion. But that could be because this one adds the minerals back in. Maybe I'm just not used to it. Do not get me wrong. Ordinary tap water is better. I just wanted more SmartWater flavor. Again, I think it's a matter of opinion. Good Features: 1. TDS Display - This device features a large digital TDS display on the front panel. You can see that very clearly. This reading tells you what the device is outputting. I want them to show you the entered TDS value for the device. That would be really good.2. Filter Life Indicator - The unit has bars on the display that show when the filter is reaching the end of its life. I haven't had the device long enough to see if it works well. But I like it too. I used to have to take the TDS of the water with my other systems or mark it on my calendar if they were just there too long.3. Bypass and maintenance of the TAM3 filter - The external remineralization filter allows you to remove it without turning off the water and without turning off the main unit. If you want to bypass it, you can also remove it. I would like the main thing to allow this too. The main unit requires you to turn off the water and electricity to swap out the cartridges. Noise: I don't have a professional dB meter handy or a soundproof room. But with my phone dB meter I saw about 40-50 at 2 feet with the cabinet door open. This is difficult to measure as there are many factors at play. Just like your closets. The finish of the closet, how many things you have in the closet, and the like. I just didn't find it that loud for me. With the cabinet door closed, it really isn't the same load. If you have purchased this device and would like to reduce noise and vibration, you can place a rubber mat or pad underneath it. I have a waterproof mat under my mine. Refrigerator integration: I have a Whirpool French Door unit and the manual says it requires 40-60 psi of water pressure. I contacted Frizzlife support and they said their machine delivers about 14,529 psi of water pressure. So, below is what my fridge wants. It works out? Well, something like that. I mean, my fridge makes ice. I have to empty the container completely and see if this device can fill up completely in one shoot and how long that takes. But I know the ice is smaller and production seems slower. What really let me down was the fridge faucet. This dropped to half the flow rate of the water. From 6-8 seconds to fill 1 cup to 16 seconds. You must really want the water from there to wait there for that long. A normal faucet works slowly. But it needs another level. Also, my distance from under the sink to the fridge is about 18 feet. Maybe that takes the pressure off a bit. Unfortunately, their support says there's no way to up the pressure. This is something tank systems can overcome. Some tank systems have better pressure by default. But you can always add a booster or pump to an in-tank reverse osmosis system. If you need to connect a refrigerator, you should consider a different system. Customer Support: I don't usually contact customer support for most products. But in this case I emailed to see if anything could be done about the water pressure and flow rate. The support reacted very quickly and was very pleasant. They were very honest about their system and tried to help. Unfortunately, they could not solve this problem. But they were very responsive and tried to explain things to me. Most purchases from Revain have terrible sellers with limited support. Back then I thought Frizzlife was nice and friendly. Overall Impression: I really wanted to like this device. Small, compact and good industrial design. I like quick insert filters and no tank. This saves a lot of space under the sink. And you won't run out of water as easily as you would with a tank system. The water tastes good and the minerals support your water. However, the water flow is really disappointing. If I can figure out how to increase the pressure, I retrieve it and move on to a reservoir system that does the remineralization. This installation costs almost twice as much as other tank systems. Well, I'm picky for a reason. And yes, there are tank systems with remineralization. If you don't use a fridge, I think this is a great system. But now my family won't use the water from the fridge because of the slow flow. Nonetheless, I hope my review helped. If anyone can figure out how to increase the water pressure in this system please comment. If this problem were solved I would give this device 5 stars. But at the moment it loses 1 star for me because of the water pressure.
