Exactly as described, weird smell goes away after awhile
I was initially concerned that the chemical smell mentioned in the comments would not go away, there would be air bubbles, and it would not flatten.You'll be pleased to learn that the chemical smell eventually went away, it's clear with no air bubbles, and it stays flat as long as you place something on top of the clear plastic sheet.The edges do curl and will not flatten but, by and large, the entire sheet does stay flat.
