This type of sun visor does not reflect heat but absorbs it. This is because the reflective surface is not Mylar. It's some kind of silvery (in my case) material. Great fit! The best on the market for my Lexus NX300. Unfortunately, it's not mylar, so the heat is absorbed by the shield and not reflected. He literally (not badly) burned my fingers trying to get it off the windshield. It was like touching a hot black dashboard. Replace that window film with Mylar and you've got a better product.
