So... I bought AirTags and wanted to attach them to some of my stuff so I thought it was a good idea. One of the things I glued them to was the bottom of a bike seat. It's a smooth, flat plastic surface that's perfect for sticky stuff. Before attaching it I cleaned the area with a cleaning solution and then some rubbing alcohol to make sure it didn't leave a mark. I ripped off the backing and held it down for a good 30 seconds, trying to pull to make sure it was secure, then put the AirTag in and pressed down again to make sure it was secure. Satisfied, I continued my day... The next morning, as I was getting ready for work, I checked the bike and AirTag and found it on the ground. The bike sat in an air conditioned room all night and couldn't get stuck. I usually leave my bike in the sun when I'm riding around town, so I could only imagine that this silicone case would fall off even sooner if it was out in the sun. In addition to the adhesive, the case itself protects the AirTag from the back and side while leaving the metal part exposed, so I added a clear film to protect the exposed part of the AirTag.
