The curls on the sides catch on wires when you wind it up, so packing this thing is a smart process. I was just looking for something fast. If you want a faster way (which I've switched to) - just stretch out your pinky and index finger and wrap the wire in a figure eight pattern over and over, then pull it off your fingers. , and wrap the wire around to hold it together a bit. This particular method of packaging rarely gets tangled in your bag and is a lot faster than using this thing. I haven't used the "Stand" function, so I can't comment on that. Well it was a waste of money. for me personally, but maybe I'll gift it to someone who will appreciate it.
