The kettle is great but most importantly it works on my induction burner. The lid is very (too?) tight and I like the one piece body design so no leaks! I like solid construction and I believe that you can buy such things once - or at least they will last for a very long time! I got it in early November 2012 and my boyfriend has used it more than me (daily morning tea) but we are both happy with it. It looks clean and still looks new after a few months. Since the whistle has better construction (protection) and the handle is welded instead of screwed, I gave it 4 stars. As suggested in another review I will use a timer. But I couldn't find a kettle that I could trust completely after reading so many disappointing reviews in the price range. The price for this is very reasonable compared to the more expensive options and better in my opinion.
