I would try installing a cover on my HVAC access. Nothing really worked that didn't require my gift to get the followers underground. Someone suggested putting a full-fledged door over the hole - to a great idea. Instead I used this hidden lock kit and some hanging brackets to firmly attach the panel to the wall. Maintenance personnel are not instructed to simply use a hex wrench to pick the lock and remove the panel from the wall.
