I love these dog coats! So many people are afraid of Pitbulls, but when I force mine to wear one of his various coats, people come over and pet him so willingly! They always double answer and ask if he's a pit bull, but once they realize he didn't attack them while they were being petted, they relax again. So dressing up my pit bull was a great way to break the ice regarding the perceived stereotypical behavior that people believe is common to all pit bulls. The reality is that any type of dog can become aggressive and attack. In this regard, my pit bull is like any other dog, unless I control and train them. When the weather gets too hot for a coat, I put a backpack on his back. Again, people assume this is a trained dog and are more open to having one around. The pack makes him work, gives him meaning. He's still a stubborn pit bull, not a German shepherd. Therefore, "work” is perceived differently for a pit bull than for a German shepherd. However, giving him a purpose made him a better dog. So if you want your dog to look neat, this coat is for you!
