Sounds great but may need an adjustment

What I love about this product is that it sounds really great. I can't tell the direct plug from Bluetooth. It was actually better than using my car stereo's line-in. The problem I'm having is that after I made a call and disconnected, the device froze after about an hour of use. I couldn't reconnect to my previously paired device. I could not pair with the new device. I could not turn off the device. I disconnected and reconnected the Wicked Reach Bluetooth receiver but could not get a response from the device. I even disabled bluetooth on the paired device to no avail. Another reviewer also complained about this. If it happened to both of us, it will probably happen to others as well. Instead of sending the unit in, I decided to see if I could disconnect the battery. If you take a small knife or a screwdriver, you can pry open the edge of the case. After lifting the case, slide the touchscreen out to have more room to remove the cover/clip holder. You can then carefully lift and remove the clamp holder. This will expose the circuit board. You can then carefully lift the circuit board. The battery is behind it. I was frustrated that I couldn't just unplug the battery, it was soldered onto the motherboard and directly onto the battery. I chose the black wire from the battery to the circuit board. I cut the wire in half. This de-energized the device. I then stripped a small amount of the ends of the wires, then reconnected them and turned the unit on. At this point, the device was functioning normally. Since I didn't want to repeat this every time it happens in the future, I drilled a small hole in the case and brought the wires out. Then I used a small clamp to connect the wires. In fact, the wires are very small. I didn't have a switch or a simple wire connector small enough for the wires. Since then it has worked flawlessly. I would also like to add that if you leave them connected you can leave the cables disconnected. My Wicked Reach Bluetooth receiver is connected to my car, so it doesn't matter if these cables are connected to the battery or not. as the device can be powered directly from the micro USB port. I wish it hadn't gotten stuck in the loop in the first place. But others have complained about it until the battery dies and restarts. I used an 11/64 bit which worked fine, but you can use a smaller or larger size to drill the hole. A large hole facilitates the passage of wires. This device was used in my car. My car didn't have bluetooth. This Bluetooth device is great for playing music, connecting and disconnecting. It would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that I couldn't turn it off or reset it. I could definitely understand why some gave it a star because really, if you don't take it apart and cut the black wire to turn it off, you'll have to wait hours for the battery to die. Hope this helps others. I've added some photos of the finished product. I would like to take more photos. In fact, disassembling and assembling is not that difficult (of course, always at your own peril and risk). The sound quality is really very good. Despite this problem I would buy the device again.
