Useful, maybe a bit overpriced.

It's practical. I keep one in the glove box of every car in case I ever have to stop on the freeway with a flat tire or other problem. I think the driver can just roll down the window and slam the flashing light onto the roof of the car without opening the door and risking being hit by a passing car. This would make it easier for the AAA truck to find the car and make it more visible to other motorists. Another useful use: if you pick someone up in a crowded parking lot (mall, grocery store) at night, it will be much easier for them to find you. However, they're not nearly as bright as the highlights, although the blinking makes up for that a bit.
