Inexpensive key housing for Honda Pilot 2005

UPDATE: This product broke for my wife today. It went like this for almost 4 months. I will not buy this key again. My metal insert is *not* Honda original, and the top of the key was the same width as the rest of the key, so it didn't work with the Stauber key shell (which I used for my original key, which also fell off). ). separately). Everything went well. This key case doesn't seem to be as durable as the OEM or Stauber, but so far it's good. Seems to be slightly better in quality/design than my old 3rd party key which lasted maybe 2 years. Installation process: 1. Remove the metal key, radio module and transponder chip from the old key. This may require further damaging the old key with a screwdriver and pliers.2. Insert the metal key, radio module and transponder chip into the new key housing. I wrapped the transponder in thin cardboard/thick paper (from an empty toilet paper roll) to keep it from rattling. It took some patience for everything to fall into place and fit.3. Close it and tighten the screw.4. If you have used a new remote control module, connect it to your vehicle. A quick web search should find the instructions for your car. If you have reused an old remote module, skip this step.
