All-Clad seems to be a little off in the finishing process. Had to order it twice as the first came with a rough lid and scratched edges. The second popped up and the cover looked a little frosty in finish, oh not the mirror clear brake finish you might expect. I kept this one because it's a minor flaw that I would consider second best selling at top price. I believe that like everything else, we can expect the quality to degrade over time. You've made a name for yourself with a great product, but the quality is dropping a bit. They still work just as they always have, but when you're charging that much for a cookware, it should be perfect out of the box. The consumer should not play the game of shipping and returning an expensive quality product from a supposedly reputable company. I have many other All Clad items and until recently had nothing bad to say. I guess I just have to pay attention to their quality and shop accordingly.
