I keep my rangefinder in a bag for protection while playing. If I just drop it into a cart dash on a bumpy cart road with no case protection, the prism could fail. This product allows me to attach it to the frame of a golf cart and grab it easily. The magnets are pretty strong. The only time it went off the wagon onto the road (she survived) was on a very crappy course whose wagon tracks were so potholed I told my friend to go straight down the fairway ASAP. I bought this product with a red case. Although red isn't my favorite color, I wanted something to stand out when I leave it on the ground and be able to spot it from afar. I'm glad I bought it and that's why I highly recommend this case.
