The most important thing is to know what you are buying. This dish is heavy! It's like a solid rock, an inch and a half thick. This is not cast resin which is very light weight and is used to make many reptile paraphernalia. Luckily, Hard Rock is exactly what I wanted. I don't think these qualities are bad, it's just something you'll be happy to come across if you like heavy reptile materials. Appearance: This looks great, the "painting" or marbling or whatever they did is great and blends in beautifully. I think it would look great in any vivarium. Added bonus - isopods love it!
