Unexpected hipster comfort

Amazing shoes! I was looking for a comfortable but minimal pair of running shoes that would cost no more than $100 as hiking shoes are kind of a waste of time for me. I love spending money on heels and loafers, elegant shoes as people call them. I just call them shoes. I went to Zappos and the closest thing I got was a pair of Nike and New Balance which looked good but we were more like $80-$100. I was looking to get the NB 979 but wasn't sure if they would be suitable for running and again these are a good pair of shoes but I walk almost 2 hours (to and from work) several times a week, so I know these are good. doesn't last forever, so why spend more? I'm also a bit of a zen freak and hate buying things that I don't really need or that aren't cool enough to add to my monochrome wardrobe. After reading a few reviews, intrigued by the old-school look of these shoes, and getting a $50 gift certificate, I decided to go for it. Experts say I should have gone up half a size, but I like how small feet look. Externally my feet are wide but not long, I would say fairly normal width, not like narrow Nikes, but they are absolutely perfect, and the sizing is slightly smaller than what the so-called experts recommend, helps my pathetic flat feet. I read in a review that they didn't have much arch support but they do! It's almost an aspect ratio equation: you want the shoe to mold to your feet in a way that optimizes your standing position. For me they do exactly that and I feel like a retired Asian man in a nice and kinda hipster style. Just buy them.
