I outfitted my equestrian locker with a 3" grid and accessories. These shelves hold up to 20 pounds with no problem - I haven't needs to try anything heavier than that. They stay in place when I'm dragging things off them and dropping items back on them. Only negative is that the support structure underneath gets in the way of storing tall items that are not narrow enough to fit between the supports. But I've managed to organize my things and adjust the height of the shelves to make everything work. My locker now looks like a showcase. Love it.
