I've had an LG VL600 Verizon modem for about 8 months. In the beginning there were no modem-capable routers. Cradlepoint then started making compatible routers, but they were quite expensive. So I set my computer to modem sharing, which means it (my laptop) has to stay on as long as internet access is needed :( Eventually I stopped waiting for other companies to release compatible routers and this MBR1000 Bought at a competitive price It worked almost straight out of the box as long as I let it distribute IP addresses to various computers and devices on my network (via the router's DHCP) The problem was that I wanted the devices to have the addresses save I gave them half a day until the cradlepoint finally works with my fixed settings. The modem drops out quite often but I'm pretty sure it's up to Verizon. In fact, when the modem works, the reception seems to be better when it's plugged into the MBR1000, not when it's directly connected to my computer. There's no documentation that fixed IP networks for Cradlepoint addresses MBR1000 or other CradlePoint devices for that matter. , Wi-Fi range works as well if not better than my previous router. Unfortunately I only use it in b/g mode. I only have one n compatible computer connected directly via wired ethernet. I'm glad I finally got it!
