Why more and more people don't use vacuum cleaner bags in shops is beyond me! I no longer clog the sawdust filters. Actually, you could do without an expensive filter, but I left mine just in case. I grind a lot and this filter bag saves my life. I used to have to take the filter off and bang it on the ground at least once a week to extend the life of the filter, NO MORE! The bag just fills up, I take it off and throw it away. The best part is that I don't have to fiddle with it for months with regular use! I would advise against using it to vacuum up scrap metal or large pieces of wood, but it works great on small pieces.
