I would rate them higher if they stayed in place without spinning under the load of the bucket. I wrapped the splint in sticky sandpaper for better grip but to no avail. You can't tighten them enough without breaking them. I solved the problem by drilling a hole all the way through (between the existing screws) and threading the screw through the bracket, guide and backplate. The included rubber strap holders last about two months before breaking (even ordered extras that did the same) and resorted to small bungees which are much cheaper. Otherwise, the handles do a great job of holding shovels, rakes, hoes, and our weed trimmer.
