Excellent ears! Excellent sound and bass. It is true that the noise canceling mechanism works, but you shouldn't expect it to be as effective as using earplugs. They do not push on my eardrums in any way, nor do they cause any disruptions. Take care not to stumble. I read in some of the reviews that when you lie down in them, for example, you may rest your ear on a pillow and it would not affect the quality of the sound; however, this is not the case for me. They protrude rather noticeably, and when you lie down with your ear on the pillow, you will feel pressure, making it difficult to rest down in that position. But, this is already a minor point, and headphones are not appropriate for this situation.
