Works great with wood and plaster, but not porcelain. I have replaced all my closet bumpers with custom ones and they work so well. The only caveat I find is if you buy them to use as a bumper so the toilet seat doesn't bang loudly on the flush tank with every movement. Not. I think the cold will cause the glue on the back to spread all over the porcelain and make a mess. BUT for wood and plaster these are your cheap friends.
