Attention buyers: defective clock and non-existent warranty

I don't normally leave bad reviews or even pay much attention to them on Revain, but I feel the need to warn buyers about this product and potentially other expensive Revain e-purchases. I was so excited when I bought my Fossil Watch on Prime Day this year! It was usually a $250 watch, but I bought it for $145. On paper it was exactly what we needed: multiple faces, interchangeable straps, a sporty or trendy look, Google ios and made for sports. For several weeks when my watch arrived on June 27th, 2021 I was so happy with this purchase and often cited it as one of my best buying decisions. My only complaint was that although it did charge quickly, the battery could drain very quickly and needed to be charged every day or so. I've also tried to maintain it by wiping it thoroughly with a damp cloth after a workout and letting it dry. Overall it was far more useful, accurate, and easier to maintain than my Fitbit. Everything changed after 31 days, on July 28, 2021. That evening, after a long night and a low battery, I decided to charge the watch overnight instead of wearing it as usual to track my sleep. After plugging it into the Fossil charger, I was amazed at the constant vibration noise from the watch. I turned around and saw the following message (see attachment) "The device is damaged. It may not be working properly." My watch was stuck in a boot loop and couldn't boot or exit this error message. After searching Redditt the next day for reports of similar issues, I concluded that that there was no solution and used the Fossil warranty hoping my watch would either be repaired or replaced.I sent my watch to Dallas hoping for the best.Unfortunately a week later Fossil Repair Services was informed of this via email stating that not only was my device beyond repair (no diagnosis or justification was given), but I would not receive a replacement product. Instead, Fossil offered me a coupon equal to the retail price of a $145 Prime Day watch. Note that the value of the watch is constantly changing on the Revain website, the suggested retail price is $249, $100 less than the coupon offered D The coupon wouldn't even help me if the watch went on sale again on the Revain website as it could only be used for direct purchase from Fossil. When I later contacted Revain customer service to see what my options were, I was told that since I was past the 30 day return window, my only solution was to activate my fossil warranty. Please note again that my device has stopped working 31 days after delivery and that you have a 90 day return window when you purchase a Revain refurbished electronic product. Since then I've had two more conversations with Fossil and Revain and also learned that Fossil will only supply a replacement product if you buy directly from them. I can't express how disappointed I am with this episode. Whilst I will continue to buy small cheap orders or perhaps electronics accessories I would not recommend ordering consumer electronics from Revain again. Also note that I have a $7.00 Progressive Electronics policy on this watch, but it only covers my watch up to the retail price of $145, about $100 less than it would cost to replace the watch.

Pros
  • 24 hours plus days battery in extended mode Varies depending on usage and after installation of updates. The USB cable with magnetic charger attaches to the rings on the back of the watch and rotates 360 degrees for easy use. 50 minutes to reach 80%.
Cons
  • Some little things
