Review on OPTHOPATCH Kids Eye Patches Hypoallergenic Vision Care by Diana Johnson

An optometrist recently advised us to blindfold one of my 4.5 year old daughter for 1 hour a day for 3 months and initially only gave us 2 patches. I dug around and luckily found them. The Nexcare samples he gave us stuck to my kids' faces like glue and that was a real challenge. She didn't even want to put them on because afterwards we would have to put on a wet rag and it was too painful to rip off the delicate skin around her eye. The eye patch part wasn't blacked out either, so she kept pressing the patch over her eye because it was too weird to see, but not at the same time. But these bandages? Let me tell you - WITHOUT DAILY REMOVAL. No soaking with a wet cloth, no tension, no pain. They also hold up well when worn! The part that goes over the eye has a darker layer to make it more comfortable to wear, which doesn't seem to be the standard for eye patches for some reason? The only thing I can even remotely complain about these blindfolds is that the dinosaur design on the blindfold only goes one way, meaning a person with their right eye closed will have dinosaurs standing, but a human with theirs has dinosaurs with their left eye closed have been turned upside down. I'm not sure if it makes a huge difference to the kids who wear them, but that's what I noticed. I definitely recommend these patches; my child is really looking forward to wearing them because of the painless removal!
